Sarah Goethe-Jones is a fashion stylist, costume designer, and fashion historian based in New York state.
Sarah’s personal motto, “Make a fairy tale and go and live in it,” translates to both life and fashion. As a stylist, Sarah prides herself on ability to translate her own old-Hollywood aesthetic into a modern-day lifestyle, making every client feel like a celebrity. She approaches personal styling sessions with a fashion psychology mindset, helping each client look their best and understand their own body and unique characteristics. Sarah celebrates the female figure and teaches each client how to dress the part of an independent, self-possessed and confident lady.
Sarah is also a costume design magician who conjures clothes out of their historical reference into something daringly beyond the real but always believable. Her eye, sense of line and cut, colour and texture, reveal her understanding of character and story, silhouette and structure – but also how it feels to wear the clothes she designs.
Her work across all fields fuses her extensive knowledge of history, dance, theatre, and movement with her insight into human behavior and physical psychology. Sarah, a professional dancer, has worked in theatre, film, fashion, and dance with both amateurs and professionals of all ages.
Sarah attended Parsons New School of Design in New York City where she earned a degree in Fashion. She is a trained milliner, as well as being accomplished in knitting, embroidery, and sewing.
Located in the Albany, NY area, she is an Anglophile, lover of strong tea, and a cat mom to three rambunctious kitties.
